A four-storey building with one level of underground parking on an approximately 0.6-acre site, located close to Sidney’s village core and within easy walking distance of shops and services. The 35 homes range from approximately 670 to 1,380 sq ft. Twenty percent of the units are adaptable as defined by the Town of Sidney, and 10% have a minimum of three bedrooms (at least 1,070 sq ft), situated on the first or second storey to accommodate families with children.
The approximately 3,000 sq ft common house includes a large entry gathering space, meeting room, art room, kitchen and dining area, lounge, common laundry, and two guest rooms. A rooftop deck and shared garden space with raised beds for urban agriculture round out the amenities. The project achieved Built Green Gold certification.
Ronaye Matthew’s company, Cohousing Development Consulting, provided development management services covering site selection, rezoning, and land purchase through to completion in September 2021.
